First Home Owners Grant WA
You’ve probably heard the words First Home Owner Grant, or FHOG as we like to call it. But what does it actually mean? How much is it? And how do you access it? All great questions, and we have all the information you need.
So…what exactly is the FHOG??
The First Home Owner Grant is a WA Government initiative that assists first home buyers into the property market.
The grant is a one-off $10,000 payment that you receive if you meet all the eligibility requirements. The best part is, you never have to pay it back!
The grant is only available to first home buyers purchasing or building a new home, it’s not available for those who want to buy an established home.
PLUS! Thanks to the Federal and State Governments, home ownership has just become even more possible with an additional $45K* up for grabs to put towards your new home (that’s on top of the existing $10K FHOG). That means, if you meet the required eligibility criteria, you can get up to $55K* towards your first home!
What are the grant limits?
It’s worth keeping in mind that there’s a cap on how much the total value of your home can be if you want to receive the FHOG, only house and land packages under $750,000 will be eligible for the scheme – but with our affordable house and land packages we’re certain we’ll have no trouble finding you a super sweet deal under the grant threshold.
Sound good? We think so! Get in touch with us today and you’ll be on your way to building your first home!
