The Prestart stage of the building process is where you can let your inner interior designer come to life and decide how your home will look and feel.
Before the process begins, you will be asked to complete a tile selection at Crosby Tiles where you will choose what you would like in the kitchen, bathroom, ensuite, laundry and toilet. You will also choose your bench tops and colour of your cupboards. At Crosby you will have access to the wide range they have on offer as well as samples at your discretion.
Prestart is broken down into 3 stages.
The Aussie Living Prestart Consultant will answer any questions you may have about the plans and any queries you may be unsure of.
They will then go over your kitchen, bathroom and ensuite in detail, picking the fixtures and fittings for each of these areas in addition to the laundry and toilet.
Your consultant will show you the standard range or what has been included in your contract and also cost any upgrades you may desire. They will then mark any changes you would like for the electrical elements of your home, including but not limited to the quantity of power points throughout your home, lights and 2 way switches.
The second part of the Prestart Meeting is where you pick both the internal and external colours for your home.
The Prestart Consultant will discuss what external colours you like, for the bricks, window frames, render, paving and the garage door. We then move on to the internal colours, which differ depending on what is included in your building contract. This typically covers flooring, blinds, paint colour for the doors and cabinet handles.
Once all of these choices have been made, there is usually a short break where all of the paperwork will be organised and the final stage will see you sign off on all the necessary paperwork to ensure you are happy with your choice and any amendments you may have made.
Once this stage of the prestart meeting is complete you will have organised what your home will look like and from here the building process can commence.
