Swan Valley is located in the upper reaches of Swan River between Guildford and Bells Rapids in Western Australia, being only 25 minutes away from Perth CBD and 10 minutes from the Perth Airport. It is one of Australia’s oldest and most visited wine growing region.
Swan Valley is most noted for its fertile soil and its famous expansion of award-winning tourism-based restaurants, wineries, breweries and rum distilleries. Houghton’s and Sandalfords are two of the most popular wineries that are visited. In more recent years, Swan Valley has also seen growth in food attractions, with additions of a chocolate factory, coffee roasters, beekeepers, a lavender farm, olive groves, a goat farm, cheese farms, dried-fruit producers and boutique cafes.
Besides offering food and drink, Swan Valley also offers historic architecture, art, craft galleries and studios, as well as a stunning landscape to look at.
Yearly events and festivals are held at Swan Valley because of its scenic environment and attractions, where musicians come to play while people sample on the quality food and beverages, such as the annual ‘Spring in the Valley’ for the younger adults. It also offers accommodation, organised tours, party buses to hire, animal attractions and even suggests itineraries.
